The little girl to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has tested positive for coronavirus .
This was contained in an announcement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor , Mr Olisa Ifeajika , on Friday in Asaba .
He declared that one of the offspring of Okowa tried positive for the infection .
He said , thusly , the Governor and his relatives had initiated self – confinement for 14 days .
He said , ” One of the offspring of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has tried positive for the infection and accordingly, the senator and his relatives have gone on self – confinement for 14 days .
” It is again relevant to push that COVID – 19 is genuine , and residents are encouraged to be taught and conform to the conventions of wearing Face Masks and keeping up physical – separating while out in the open spots .
” And just as fundamental cleanliness of hand – washing with cleanser in running water and utilization of liquor – based sanitisers as NCDC guideline requests . ”
Ifeajika focused on that ” the state government is escalating endeavors at stemming the spread of COVID – 19 in the state ” .
